As a young carer, you might need to deal with really stressful or confronting situations from time to time. Other people in your family are probably going through the same thing and may not be able to help you during these times.

Many young carers in the past have found that it can really help to talk to someone about their situation and to go through what they are feeling. Sometimes your best friend is a good person to talk to; other times it may be an adult that you trust.

There are many free counselling services in WA and there are people who are specifically trained to help young carers.
