A not-for-profit organisation, Carers WA provides support, workshops, counselling and social activities to family carers in Western Australia. The Carers WA Young Carers Program offers social activities including camps and outings, as well as information, counselling and referrals to other services for carers under the age of 26.

The Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres offer a Young Carer Respite Program for young carers of school age. They can provide help with things like meals and cleaning, as well as tuition and social activities.

The COPMI program at Wanslea offers individual counselling and group work to children of parents with a mental illness. This is provided within the family home. COPMI also run fun school holiday activities for young carers.
