eHeadspace is a confidential online service designed to support young people aged 12-25 who live in Western Australia. From the 24th of October, eHeadspace will now be able to provide 24-hour online and telephone support!
eHeadspace is a confidential, free and secure space where young people can call, web chat or e-mail with a qualifies youth mental health professional. You might use eHeadspace if you want to talk about what's going on in your life, if you're feeling depressed or anxious, are worried about alcohol and/or drug use, or have concerns about a friend or family member.
One young person, Amber, who has used eHeadspace, said that it had been a great support during a difficult time. "You have a great big team of wonderful, helpful, supporting, willing to help, caring, kind and friendly staff," Amber said. "They listen to what I need to say, listen to what I feel I need to talk about for the session that I have for the day, and also help me to work out what I need to do.
eHeadspace is a flexible way for young people to access the support that they need via a method, time and place that suits them.
