The Song of the Year Competition allows unpublished song writers of all ages and experience levels to creatively express their thoughts about mental health. Original compositions can be entered in 17 categories, with winners receiving prizes including cash, recording contracts and performance opportunities!
The Mental Health Commission has allocated $15, 000 to WAMI to support the competition, which will raise awareness of mental health.
WAMI is offering a special Mentally Healthy category which allows song writers to share positive messages relating to mental health.
There will be a free song writing workshop to help you prepare on Tuesday 28th June at the Loftus Recreation Centre (Cnr Loftus and Vincent St, LEEDERVILLE). Bookings are essential, so click on the link below for more information or to RSVP.
